The genesis of this album dates back to some time ago. I was producing some tracks that followed a certain pattern: those sounded a bit odd, too experimental for what I released at the time, and they often featured a felt piano. It seems those - and more tracks that came after - came well together as a pensive, at times unsettling picture consisting of a tapestry (no pun intended) of tape machines and field recordings.
"Edges of existence" just wants to be that: a soundtrack to the everlasting drive to question this existence, to test the boundaries of what we consider reality. A metaphysical album, a sound depiction for a liminal space.
